Job Description

CSRA is looking for a Test Automation Engineer responsible for all aspects of testing activities and owning the quality of projects. Has a strong passion for automation and performance testing. Proactively contributes, offers recommendations, and identifies risks and solutions associated with proposed or existing software applications strategies. Well versed in all aspects of testing (e.g. analysis, planning, performance, automation, user acceptance) and able to speak to needs for each.
Specific responsibilities for the Test Automation Engineer position include:
  • The Automation Engineer is responsible for providing strategic technical direction on automation tools, approaches and design framework that will ensure successful implementation of test automation solutions.
  • Develop and implement of test plans and Test Summary Reports
  • The Automation Engineer determines and drives automation at the appropriate levels of system architecture to ensure quality at all phases of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Strong organizational skills including good time management, prioritizing tasks, estimating activities, and meeting deadlines. Must effectively prioritize own work, and the work of their team
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.Able to communicate technical issues in a straightforward and concise manner
  • Must be able to multitask and work independently or in a team

Minimum 7 (5+ of which are specific to the automation of Oracle E-Business Suite desired) of increasingly responsible experience in the fields of quality assurance and quality control. Advanced knowledge of testing, including risk-based testing, quality assurance processes and methodologies, software development practices, project management methodologies, test case management and defect management practices, required.
Required experience
  • 7 + years of experience in setting up Test Automation frameworks for Oracle E-Business Suite (Oracle Applications R12) is mandatory
  • Strong Hands experience in Client UFT.
  • Working knowledge of SQL queries with Client UFT code.
  • Administration Experience in Client tools - Quality Center (QC), Application Lifecycle Management (ALM). Should be able to setup/design the tool as per project requirements. Knowledge of developing reports from ALM for Test Statusing.
  • Knowledge of integration of Client ALM with other Client (UFT), Rational Tools (ClearCase, ClearQuest, DOORS), ServiceNow (SNOW).
  • Proficient in creating excel macros/working with Excel using Client UFT

Preferred experience
  • Experience in a Federal environment
  • LoadRunner or Performance Center
  • Experience with defect reporting & analysis and the ability to conduct test risk analysis.
