Description:
  • The position is responsible for performing maintenance and repair to preserve and enhance the appearance of the facility.
  • Duties may include but are not limited to: replacing lamps and ballasts; painting; performing general carpentry, drywall repair, and minor plumbing; hanging pictures; making carpet repairs; participating in office moves; repairing door hardware and ceiling tile; making minor hardscape repairs and minor roofing repairs etc.
  • Essential Functions: Performs general maintenance and repair duties on a variety of facility systems and equipment. Reviews service requests for repairs and maintenance, determines nature of problem, and executes appropriate solution. May assist higher level technicians in completing work assignments.
  • Seeks assistance from higher level technicians and supervisor/management when necessary in order to complete work with the highest level of customer satisfaction.
  • Responds and provides service and feedback to the customer on all work orders while assuring compliance to codes, regulations and industry standards. Coordinates work with outside contractors.
  • Ensures all appropriate building standards are maintained at a high level of quality
  • Operates hand and power tools and mechanical equipment effectively and safely complies with safety requirements including use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • This person would drive a company vehicle (pick up truck, van, golf cart) as needed for this work assignments.
  • May be performing some painting or caulking at elevated height.
  • Working at elevations would require use of our JLG lift.
Minimum Requirements:
  • High School diploma or demonstrated equivalent.
  • Experience making repairs to building structure, such as doors, floors, walls, etc.
  • Two years of experience maintaining buildings, facilities and/or equipment in a large commercial or industrial environment, or demonstrated equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience with painting and related preparation work.
  • Experience with concrete and asphalt repairs
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree or trade school certification in any type of skilled tradE
  • Basic computer skills for data entry, email, etc.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment, including applying proper safety practices and following procedures while performing maintenance tasks.
NOTE: Typical work hours are Monday – Friday, noon - 8:30pm; hours may vary based on business demand
