Job Description:

Essential Responsibilities 

·         Technical project management to organize project intake, prioritization, assignments and completion for the Advanced Media Engineering team.

·         Build an effective working partnership with engineers to lead team to success.

·         Frequent communication with project stakeholders and working groups to ensure everyone is aware of scope, action items, and project progress and changes

·         Partner with colleague program, project and product managers within the GMO organization; establish strong communications and relationships with counterparts and stakeholders, and vendors when needed.

·         Implement sprint approach to organizing project requests and institute regular meetings to track engineer/project progress, clarify requirements, assign projects, manage resources, and track completion and report team metrics.

·         Manage team capacity, deliverables and releases in JIRA through implementation of Kanban project management

·         Own team metrics and submit Sprint, Monthly and Quarterly team performance metrics.

·         Effectively mitigate risks, track and resolve dependencies, and utilize resources to remove impediments to the team.

·         Demonstrate leadership skills in the areas of team building, conflict resolution, time management, stakeholder management and customer service.

·         Effectively manage time and prioritize tasks and work streams to achieve department and business goals.

·         Contribute to defining processes, documentation, and discipline for the Portfolio Management team.

·         Follow company internal guidelines and expectations.



·         Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or media technology and/or 5-7+ years of equivalent experience.

·         5+ years of Technical Project Management in large scale enterprise environments and technical project management for media and/or television or similar IT industry

·         Solid understanding of media engineering practices, and project management methodologies.

·         Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills; able to communicate effectively with customers, executives and teams in high-pressure situations.

 Desired Characteristics

·         Experience in US Digital Media preferred

·         Experience in video supply chain, infrastructure, delivery systems and playback preferred.

·         Exceptional technical, analytical, organizational, and research skills

·         Ability to lead and present program information in face-to-face presentations to varied audiences; including executive management

·         Proficiency with JIRA and Confluence; and creating project plans and timelines

·         Strong team-building, vendor, and customer relations skills

·         Be analytical and process-oriented and able to apply structure to complex problems
