Support Engineer
We are looking for a Support Engineer that will be responsible for managing and supporting its infrastructure. This individual should have experience in an infrastructure support role, but also be willing to do much of the work themselves. This person should also be open to innovative technology solutions, particularly leveraging SaaS, IaaS, PaaS and Cloud-based solutions over traditional on-premises systems. Finally, the candidate should be able to consider problems from all angles, including but not limited to:
  • Overall technology strategy and innovation
  • Positive and negative impacts to staff
  • Total cost of ownership to the firm
  • Information security and business continuity
The roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Day to day end user support for 10 national offices comprising of 150+ users.
  • Interface with and manage third party technology vendors like Microsoft, Mitel, Applicant tracking vendor, Dynamics Great Plains and MSP (Managed Service Provider) staff.
  • Office 365 troubleshooting experience
  • Mobile device (BYOD) management
  • All printer and application issues.
  • Connectivity troubleshooting experience between offices and VPN issues
  • Terminal services troubleshooting
  • PC imaging and deployment
  • Firewall troubleshooting and set up
  • VIP support for the executive team
  • Must be able to troubleshoot connectivity issues with our wired and wireless network.
  • Remote support experience is a must
  • Be able to assess current state infrastructure and make recommendations to increase efficiency, reduce cost and increase security.
  • Effectively collaborate with outsourced infrastructure support provider
  • Manage IT vendor relationships including RFPs / vendor evaluations, economics / contract negotiation and issue escalation
  • Oversee and manage multiple projects at a time. These projects will include cloud-based analysis, costing and recommendation. Upgrading wireless endpoints for all offices. Migrating SIP trucking to a converged network topography.
  • Escalate any unresolvable issues to the MSP and report to management status.
  • Manage web hosting company and interact with the marketing department on development and marketing automation.

The right person must have a growth mindset. A "I do it this way because that's how we did it at ______” will not work within our organization. Must have a great demeanor and ability to interface with all types of personalities from executive assistants, accounting staff to the C suite.
