Network Engineer

This role requires an intimate working knowledge of security technologies IPSec, DMVPN, 802.1X, MAB as well as expert hands on knowledge and validating/ gauging expected behavior for dynamic routing protocols- OSPF, BGP, MP-BGP, WAAS, WAN, MPLS, multicast, QoS, virtualization, Wifi, next generation Core, Branch Office/campus and Datacenter design.

As a Senior Network Engineer, you will be collaborating with other Engineering and Operations teams, presenting to senior management, mentoring and knowledge transfer to team members across the organization. Candidate must possess excellent business writing and presentation skills as well as demonstrate ownership and being proactive.

Requirements:
  • This is a senior engineer role for someone with CCIE or CCIE-level experience
  • Intimate hands on knowledge of complex network designs, dynamic routing (OSPF & BGP), QoS, Matrix switching and network instrumentation taps., SPAN, netflow, sFlow, QoS, VRF, etc
  • Experience designing, configuring and troubleshooting an SD-WAN environment.
  • Deep understand of BGP routing, QoS, OSPF, MPLS, Network Management Suites
  • Deep understanding of IPSec and Encryption
  • Deep understanding of basic security principles around VPNs
  • Experience with Ixia packet generators or similar test tools
  • Experience generating and executing certification test plans
  • Understanding of current router and switch architectures and ASIC designs.
  • Understanding of server virtualization technologies like VMware or KVM.
  • Experience with REST APIs and PythonDeep
  • Understanding of TCP/IP and application performance.
  • Deep understand of IP Routing and Switching in the Campus and Data Center enterprise environment.
  • WAN technologies- MPLS VPNs, DMVPN,
  • Segregation and security features such as TrustSec, policy automation, encryption, overlays, VRF, 802.1x, MAB, RADIUS, MACSec, IPSec etc.TCP/IP protocol suite.
  • IP unicast routing: BGP, OSPF, RIP, Spanning Tree, ECMP.
  • IP multicast routing: IGMP, PIM, MSDP.
  • LAN switching. VLANs, IEEE 802 standards, PAgP, LACP, MLAG Routing & Sw
  • platforms: Cisco: Catalyst, Nexus, ASR 1K, ISR; Arista,
  • Network OS: Cisco IOS, IOS XE, NXOS, Arista EOS
  • Familiarity with Cisco branch/campus product lines and road maps.
  • Wireshark proficient
  • Provide reports and overviews to both technical and non-technical senior management Ability to work in a global team environment
  • Security & WAN technologies- MPLS VPNs, OTN, DWDM, iWAN, SDN, WAN Acceleration Segregation and security features such as TrustSec, policy automation, encryption, overlays, VRF, ACL, Client, 802.1x, MAB, RADIUS, MACSec, IPSec etc.Next Gen iWANDesire and ability to assimilate new technologies and know where the industry is headed for Branch/Campus designs and topologies including MPLS and multicast
Skills Desired:
  • Knowledge of Ixia or Spirent test/ test libraries for testing, automation and regression - a major plus
  • Experience with REST APIs and Python
  • Industry recognized certifications like CCNP or CCIE are a plus WIFI experience
  • Wireless a major plus
  • WAN Acceleration a major plus
