Responsibilities
 
Primary finance resource for plant managers to analyze plant gross margin profitability, inventory optimization, and financial metrics.
Develop and demonstrate a deep understanding of plants through a mixture of regular, routine interaction and systemic information gathering and analysis.
Responsible for establishing procedures to set job costing for engineered to order products.
Responsible for monitoring and communication of job level gross margin to plant personnel and leadership.
Self sufficient research, analysis, and trouble shooting of system or costing errors is required.
Responsible for timely and accurate closing cycle.
Responsible for understanding and reporting overhead/burden and labor efficiency through absorption analysis within the product lines/plants.
Establishment of cycle counting procedures, schedules, and effective monitoring controls to ensure inventory quantities are accurately reflect in the financials.
Assist with commodity pricing analysis to determine optimal purchase levels, effect of material price changes, and leveraged buy optimization.
Key resource to help plant with reduction of inventory to optimal levels. This includes assisting with action plans to reduce inventory levels and forecasting these changes for input into cash analysis. This includes ensuring that actuals and forecasts properly reflect the absorption effects from changes in inventory.
Collaboration with cost accounting managers for other markets/plants for best practices.
Promote change through standardization and improvement of current procedures and systems, supported by implementation of consistent operation software, policies and procedures.
Assist in Potential Group Acquisition Due Diligence and Analysis for any plants in the portfolio of support and then help lead integration of Acquired companies into MW Procedures and Policies.
 
 
 
Requirements
 
Bachelor's degree in a Finance or Accounting. 
5+ years of experience with recent experience in similar role.
Cost accounting experience required; job costing experience preferred
Absorption analysis experience required
High level of proficiency in excel
