Description Performance Indicators
  • Manage day-to-day accounting of all routine entries of the branches as well as Head U.S. Office and Canada.
  • Ensure that all regulatory authorities' guidelines and AML policies are complied with in the routine processing of accounting entries.
Adherence to Regulatory guidelines & AML policies
  • Review ledger accounts at regular intervals to make sure that the balances shown are accurate and report any material mistakes to the Regional Head- Americas and Associate Vice President – Americas.

  • Ensure that proper books of account and records are maintained at HO as well as branches.
  • Monitor cash balances (both local & FC) and debtors balances of all the branches on a daily basis.
  • Monitor outstanding balances in the settlement accounts with Agents and Partners as to see that prompt settlement is done on a timely basis.
  • Formulate monthly management accounts to assess the performance including branch-wise performance.
  • Liaise with internal and external auditors, responding to queries in a timely manner to facilitate completion of audits smoothly.
Time line
  • Prepare MIS reports on a regular basis and send reports to Regional Office as and when needed.
  • Facilitate and Monitor reconciliation of various accounts (E.g. Bank accounts, Remittance Settlement account etc.) on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
  • Liaise with Regional Head & Operations Head for setting targets and monitoring the targets with actual performance.
  • Monitor profitability of each business segment (retail branches, forex etc.) and report the same periodically to the management.
  • Liaise with Regional Head and other Department Head's in preparing the budget for the Company as well as branches.
  • Ensure the company's derivatives are followed in the planning and execution of all activities.
Plan Vs Execution
  • Ensure that all year end procedures are followed to successfully close the books of accounts within the stipulated time (E.g. revaluation of FC stock, revaluation of dual currency accounts, passing provision entries for various accrued expenses etc.)

5. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS: Define the skills, knowledge and experience specific to the job in question (includes generic skills)
  1. Qualified CPA
  2. Experience of 5 to 6 years with at least 2 years in management role. Preferably from a FI/ Banking multi branch environment
  3. Advanced financial modelling tools and techniques.
  4. Advanced data processing, data management and data modelling skills.
  5. High order of information processing and analytical decision making.
  6. Advanced computer awareness and usage skills.
7. Advance concepts of Budgeting, management accounts and cost management
8. Ability to think strategically and provide recommendations supported by sound judgments.
