Our client is currently looking for a Senior Accountant to join their growing and dynamic team.

Position Summary
The Senior Accountant is responsible for the monthly preparation and analysis of the Financial Statements, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial reporting information. This position analyzes and evaluates financial and accounting information; utilizes available system to streamline assigned tasks and to prepare related summaries; maintains attention to detail while working under deadlines; keeps sensitive information confidential; effectively handles multiple assignments with changing priorities and deadlines; obtains information through interview or other means; communicates effectively, both orally and in writing; maintains detailed and accurate records; prepares clear and concise written reports and supporting documentation; establishes and maintains good working relationships with those contacted in the course of the work. In addition, the Senior Accountant performs related duties by researching, analyzing, and monitoring budget variances, ultimately proposing necessary adjustments.


Analyzes assigned financial reporting areas to ensure proper matching of income and expenses; assesses any estimates recorded for reasonableness.
Prepares all journal entries for assigned areas on a timely basis, ensuring compliance with closing deadlines.
Ensures all journal entries conform to applicable documentation standards so that each journal entry is appropriately supported.
Consults with departments, as needed, to record monthly accounting entries, working with the appropriate contact to coordinate information requests in a professional and courteous manner.
Develops strong working relationships with departments and leverages these relationships in order to obtain information on a timely basis.
Reconciles assigned accounts, on frequency determined by risk ranking, to ensure completeness and accuracy of financial statements.
As part of the reconciliation and account analysis, proposes correcting entries and process improvements.
Identifies and communicates opportunities to improve the efficiency or quality of financial reporting on an ongoing basis.
Researches and analyzes data to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve discrepancies and client inquiries.
Researches financial reporting issues and takes appropriate action, providing department managers related information in both oral and written form.
Resolves problems/complaints and refers internal clients to appropriate resources as needed.
Recognizes when issues need elevation to Accounting Manager, works closely with Manager to obtain resolution to these issues.
Provides assistance and training to client both within and external to Finance.

Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance.
3-5 years of previous job-related experience
