Mortgage Loan Closing Coordinator Overview:
A Closing Coordinator Prep will assist with the mortgage loan closing process. The Closing Coordinator Prep will perform a quality control and data integrity review for compliance, completeness and accuracy. The Closing Coordinator Prep will function as the liaison between the Credit Operations Department and the Legal Department. Once the loan has been credit Cleared-To-Close, the Closing Coordinator Prep will coordinate with the Legal Department to facilitate the loan's closing.

Mortgage Loan Closing Coordinator Primary Responsibilities:
  • Perform data integrity checks when clearing a file for closing.
  • Review files received from processing thoroughly to check if all documents needed for closing are available.
  • Prepare closing documents and obtain missing information.
  • Review the loan documents for completeness and accuracy.
  • Upload all documents to the shared drive; deliver complete closing packages to Legal.
  • Verify application information and review final 1003 for accurate information.
  • Revert to processing for any missing documents needed.
  • Update and ensure all the fees and cost are accurately calculated.
  • Verification of all the loan application documents.
  • Perform Verbal Verification of employments.
  • Verify and update the details of loan into the system.
  • Perform preliminary reviews of Title reports.
  • Liaise with Borrower and Bank Attorneys to clear title issues.
  • Complete the Closing Disclosure and verify compliance with federal laws and regulations.
  • Perform APR and tolerance checks between Loan Estimate and Closing Disclosure.
  • Verify HMDA specified information (checklist) on 1003.
  • Adhere to established quality and service standards (ex. Review and prepare closing documents within established turn times).
