ICS is partnered with a leading firm responsible for financial services and tools who specializes in the commodity space. We are seeking an energetic and knowledgeable Network Architect to be based in either Chicago. Strong enterprise routing (BGP/EIGRP), security (ASA and Cisco Client) and fast paced work environment exposure are highly desired. Multicasting and low latency experience would be an excellent addition for any candidate interested in the role.

The Network Architect will have:
  • Extensive working knowledge of IP networks, routing, layer 2 and layer 3 switching, routing protocols such as BGP or EIGRP, QOS, VPN technologies, VPLS and network protocols such as DHCP and DNS
  • In-depth experience with WAN, LAN, TIC, network virtual switching, load balancing, and WAN acceleration design and implementation using Cisco, Juniper, or Palo Alto
  • Experience configuring Cisco routers or switches and global and local traffic managers or firewalls
  • Experience with developing professional diagrams and illustrations of network infrastructure
  • Experience with hands-on network engineering
  • Ability to resolve incidents, problems, and change requests in accordance with service-level agreements and approved maintenance windows
  • Ability to author or supplement existing documentation to reflect environmental changes
  • Strong analytical network troubleshooting skills and proficiency with packet capture tools
  • Ability to perform complex migrations/upgrades and deploy new technologies/features as the network environment evolves
  • Ability to apply security and networking concepts to emerging cloud solutions, including Azure and AWS
  • Strong fundamentals in disaster recovery, change management, logging and alerting, and incident response
  • Current CCNP or higher certification preferred
  • 8+ years actively working in an enterprise LAN/WAN environment, managing and supporting the integrity and security of a complex network infrastructure consisting of routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points and other network appliances/servers
