This role will support our client's corporate objectives and should be a results driven, attention-to-detail individual with a strong capacity to multi-task different technologies. They should be comfortable investigating, documenting and resolving operational concerns with computer software and hardware equipment.

The Infrastructure Engineer will have a breadth of knowledge including several years of hands on network engineering experience preferably with Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls. These network basics are essential. The primary focus of this role is as a networking, and ASAs administration. Good Microsoft Windows Active Directory knowledge and Citrix application management experience are a plus.
  • Strong CLI experience managing and updating running configuration of Cisco routers, switches, firewall and IPS appliances.
  • Work with clients and business partners to provide reliable sustained connectivity to the data environment using IPSec site-to-site VPN tunnels.
  • Actively monitor LAN/WAN network traffic and capacity maximizing available network management tools SolarWinds, PRTG or Cisco Prime etc.
  • Strong experience with Layer 2 network switches.
    1. Good understanding of Spanning Tree Protocol (STP) that ensures a loop-free topology.
  • Troubleshoot, analyze and resolve critical network connectivity issues. Provide senior level escalation for complex networking / communication problems.
    As member of the IT team, the Network Administrator candidate would be responsible for example: investigating and resolving authentication concerns as well as providing traditional user support issues. Integral to day-to-day operations, the model candidate should be comfortable addressing complex to simple IT concerns on day-to-day bases.

    Duties and responsibilities of Network Administrator
  • Work collaboratively with the Director of IT Infrastructure and others in accordance with the Mission and Values of our client to assist, advance and implement IT systems.
  • Assist in maintaining and enhancing our client's reputation as the leader in managed Cloud Services.
  • Is familiar with analyzing syslogs, track changes and can resolve routine performance networking / connectivity concerns.
  • Experience with Cisco ASA Site-to-Site VPNs (IPSec) and Remote Access VPNs (AnyConnect).
    • Can read a Cisco txt file and gather an understanding of the network objects, ACL and NAT rules presented.
  • In-depth knowledge of fundamentals to include networking, DNS, SNMP, LDAP, domain replication and attack vectors on a Cisco / Windows network.
  • At least five (5) years of experience in supporting a reliable, scalable Cisco based networked environment.
  • Experience with industry standard network monitoring, management and packet analysis tools to monitor and troubleshoot network/application performance and connectivity problems (SolarWinds, Cisco Prime, PRTG, WireShark, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP, SNMPv2c, NTP, AAA, SSHv2, RADIUS, DNS, DHCP, LDAP and other standard protocols and their operations.
  • Some experience with VMWare and storage subsystem administration (Dell EqualLogic) is a plus.
  • Some experience with Linux is a plus, particularly with Windows-Linux interaction. Familiarity with command line interface (CLI) is a plus.
  • Experience handling escalated desktop troubleshooting issues (sysinternals/ ProcMon / TCPView)
  • Ability to develop, implement and maintain:
    • Policies, procedures and internal documentation to ensure consistency and efficiency.
    • Enterprise monitoring, alerting, proactive analytics, event correlation, and service desk integration
    • Capacity management plans and reporting
    • Should have experience understanding high availability network solutions and technologies (HA).
  • Passion about technology

    Qualifications
  • 5+ years of network engineering experience, with a minimum of three (3) years working in a network engineering role.
  • Experience with Windows 2003/2008 /2012 Server / Citrix administration experience a plus
  • Advent Experience a plus
  • Datacenter Experience a plus.
  • Familiar with disaster recovery practices
  • Experience with Vendor Management
  • Experience with Environmental Reporting.
  • Well organized, attentive to details and able to meet deadlines and expectations.
