The Opportunity for an Automation Engineer
 
Work as part of the globally distributed Engineering team along with the Product and Business Development teams to define, develop, and deliver client solutions. Be a key member of the elite, cross-organizational Engineering Productivity group. Focus on developing reusable test infrastructure and using deep software engineering experience and your expertise around code quality to benefit your software engineer colleagues - and our products.
 
Success in The Role for an Automation Engineer
  • Testing software is the whole team's responsibility. You'll make it possible for them to test as they develop.
  • Refactor code to make it more testable and more reliable.
  • Develop test infrastructure and frameworks to facilitate automated testing.
  • Develop tools to help product engineers write higher quality code, more efficiently.
  • Use your privileged position in an organization-wide team to bring knowledge and experience from one product team to another.
  • Be laser focused on - and accountable for - code quality.
  • Participate in architecture discussions to ensure our software is designed for measurable quality and testability.
  • Have significant experience in one or more JVM-based languages.
 
What Are We Using
  • Java, Scala, and Haskell for backend development of new technology concepts.
  • Typescript and React for front-end development.
  • Agile/Scrum and modern software engineering practices (SBE / TDD / CI / CD etc).
  • Cloud services, containers for rapid deployment.
