Position Overview


Our client is currently seeking a Support Engineer to join our New York based Operations team. The ideal person will have experience in Monitoring application stability, availability and performance, following standard operating processes, developing and deploying applications to production & staging environment.

This position is Full Time with a work schedule of Monday – Friday. Although working a set schedule, all Support Engineers are required to be on call and available as needed.


Responsibilities:
  • Operating and maintaining our clients applications.
  • Monitoring and administrating Linux and Windows systems. Taking appropriate actions on system alerts based on SOP
  • Developing automation using Ansible and Python
  • Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to application development and deployment
  • Maintenance of technical documentation, processes and procedures used throughout normal operations
  • Participation in 24/7/365 on-call rotation
Preferred Requirements:
  • Experience with monitoring systems and management tools (ex: Nagios)
  • Familiarity with orchestration and containerization solutions (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Basic understanding of SQL
  • Experience with scripting languages like Python and Bash.
  • Experience with automation/configuration management including Chef, Puppet, or
  • Windows/Linux administration skills (IIS and/or Apache configuration)
  • Experience working with Virtual machines (vmware)
  • Experience with cloud computing (GCP)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Previous experience with technical documentation
