Senior Transaction monitoring Analyst
Job Purpose:
  • The Senior Transaction Monitoring Analyst is responsible for performing AML Reviews/Investigations on account activity and recommending the filing of Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs).
 
Responsibilities:
  • Utilize a wide variety of research and transaction monitoring tools and be responsible for preparing various regulatory and analytical reports
  • Collect and examine supporting documents to assist in identifying unusual transaction patterns
  • Write and file Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) and recommend relationship retention or termination and track account closures as required
  • Perform Quality Assurance / Review and analyze transactional activity for completeness and accuracy
  • Interact with Senior Management on the Compliance, Legal and business sectors concerning AML issues
  • Review system generated reports of transactions and investigation of account activity for potentially suspicious activity, including structuring and high risk wire activity, etc. from inception to completion
  • Assist with the Bank's compliance risk assessment program, as well as enhanced due diligence reviews
  • Remediate Internal Audit issues and/or regulatory action findings
  • Attend mandatory and recommended compliance training
 
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree Required
  • Experienced compliance professional with a strong understanding of Anti-Money laundering regulations, technical aspects (System and/or Data analytics related) of Transaction Monitoring and their application to financial services businesses
  • Knowledge of domestic and/or international SAR filing requirements.
  • Ability to gain an understanding of Corporate and product-specific policies/control environment, as well as key regulatory requirements.
