ICS has partnered with a progressive client who is focused on serving the retail, hospitality, and entertainment industries globally. They are seeking an IT Operations Director to join their team to oversee the IT infrastructure planning, provisioning, installation and operation. The IT Operations Director will work closely with the Vice President of IT to identify, recommend, develop, implement and support cost effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organization. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader who has experience with implementing IT Service Management efficiencies across the organization. Because this role will have direct reports, previous leadership experience is required.

  • Provide IT governance, including providing leadership and direction in the support and utilization of the technology capabilities of the organization.
  • Develop, maintain, and enforce system standards.
  • Analyze complex business needs presented by the organization and recommends technical solutions.
  • Manage the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, upgrade and support of all IT systems, including telecommunications/UC, servers, PCs, operating systems, other related hardware, software, and security tools.
  • Benchmark, analyze, report on, and make recommendations for the improvement and growth of the IT infrastructure and associated systems.
  • Manage current-state data management, reporting tools, and data operations
  • Must be able to design, build and maintain applications as needed. This is a hands-on position.
  • Monitor functioning of equipment to ensure architecture operates in conformance with designed specifications.
  • Act as main point-of-contact for expertise in the operations and of all hardware and software programs
  • Manage the implementation and testing of disaster recovery plans in the event of a disaster or emergency that interrupts normal information system operations.

  • Technical capability. This role may require hands-on experience on occasion.
  • Previous experience with Windows Server, Windows Desktop, Microsoft Exchange, Active Directory, MS SQL, ETL technologies, virtual environment deployment and management, Cisco LAN/WAN, Cisco Telephony/UC, information security tools/suites, and IT Service management tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to translate technical knowledge into actionable direction. This includes ability to develop action plans and execute against those plans.
  • Experience designing, building and implementing KPI dashboards.
  • Advocate for driving excellent customer service and a high sense of urgency
  • Experience managing small data center desired.​
