The candidate should have a willingness to learn and motivation to adapt and master new technologies. The candidate's primary responsibilities are supporting the principal and front office traders, as well as the day-to-day functions of back office operational support.
The Desktop Support Systems Analyst position:

Strong knowledge of desktop/laptop hardware & multi-monitor displays
  • Support traders/analysts – Bloomberg, REDIPlus+, TT X_Trader, CQG, Reuters Eikon, Matlab
  • C-Level executive support, includes residence support 
  • Experience engineering & deploying desktop images
  • Experience with patch management solutions
  • Experience with endpoint malware protection
  • Active Directory/GPO/NTFS/Exchange administration
  • Scripting experience - PowerShell, VBS, etc…
  • Knowledge of networking basics such as TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS
  • Software deployment technologies – Dell KACE
  • Windows Server Update Services (WSUS)
    Windows Deployment Services (WDS)
  • Experience supporting Blackberry phones and BES server
  • System image deployment technologies – Acronis
  • Experience with virtualized environments - VMware & Citrix
  • Backup software - BackupExec
  • Knowledge of helpdesk ticketing systems and workflow processes
  • Knowledge of trading desk support SLAs, operational framework, and policies & procedures
  • Good communication skills and capable of writing clear & concise documentation
  • Management of Cisco UCM phone system a plus
  • SQL scripting/management a plus
  • System/network monitoring software a plus – SCOM, Solarwinds
  • Experience with host-based zero day malware protections a plus
  • Experience with iSCSI storage arrays a plus
  • Experience with SOHO network/firewalls a plus
  • Experience w/VPNs a plus
  • Experience managing proxy servers a plus
