Job Summary
  • The CMA will enable customers to better manage their shelves with our products, to grow the category by helping them to evaluate and analyze what is best for them to grow their revenue and profits around our product line.
  • This role is about developing and driving data that is capable of "calling to action” – performing in depth analysis that will enable strategy enhancement and drive new and bigger customer sales.
Job Responsibilities
  • Aide communication and execution of Fresh Dips category
    • Adaptation and customization of Fresh Dips category story and vision for a specific set of customers the CMA is focused on
    • Adapt for customer specific requests and situations
    • Earn category management captainship status in accounts
  • Work with Sr. CMA to adapt AMPS standards for national and top customers
    • Assortment (customer specific, store size)
    • Shelving (5 principals – store size/makeup)
    • Planogram – obtain, optimize and influence change at customer
  • Aide in KPI "score-carding” development for specific customers
  • Work with Pricing/Trade manager to review promotional and shopper marketing programs
  • Coordinate with Regional Sales Manager and Planner for annual planning for:
    • Distribution
    • Innovation
    • Category development
  • Work hand in hand with IRI and third parties (ie. Kantar, EYC, 8451, Acosta) to gain and apply insights and tools to category story
  • Core reporting for customer for planning and meetings
  • Build customer knowledge:
    • Do match-ups with customer data
    • Organize the date structures with customers and define the go-to-market
    • Work with customers (have access to buyers) and coordinate with the sales team to help the customer achieve category success with our company
  • Understand customer strategies and help direct category growth
    • How does their strategy effect us?
    • Become a partner to customers
Job Qualifications
  • 2-4 years relevant experience in Sales, Insights and/or Analytics
    • Client Experience preferred but not required
  • Analytics Experience – knowledge of and competence in database products:
    • IRI, Nielsen, EYC, 8451, etc
    • Have the ability to transform the data into insights
  • Business Acumen – Have the capability to "read” the business and develop the proper business recommendations
  • Leadership and influence – Need to lead the category evolution internally and with trade partners as well as influence internal teams and suppliers (i.e. Brokers)
  • Cross functional coordination and influence is a must for this job in order to be successful – the right person will be comfortable and effective reaching across a matrix type of organization to become a key problem solver and solutions provider
  • Strong communication skills combined with a commitment and proven ability to succeed within a fast paced sales organization
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Self-starter, ability to work independently in the absence of direct supervision
  • Superior presentation development skills (development and delivery to senior levels)

    • SKU rankings
    • Assorment
    • Planogram/shelf sets and helping customers to understand the impact of planned shelving in their deli and fresh dips categories
    • Shopper marketing
    • Merchandizing activity impacts
  • A strong sense of patience and self-motivation
  • A bachelor's degree
  • Strong Computer skills, proficiency with MS Office including Excel and Powerpoint, and detailed experience, comfort and expertise with various database management and analysis tools
  • Demonstrated professionalism and dependability
