Our Adtech client is looking for a well-rounded, experienced Network Engineer to join a team of Sr. Systems Engineers dedicated to improving the reliability of our end-to-end platform. Our systems serve billions of requests per day and process terabytes of log and interaction data daily. In this role you will dive deep into operational issues, from the programming, systems, automation, and process perspectives. We have network equipment from Cisco, Juniper and others. There is substantial opportunity to learn a lot while working on our team. Everything from Layer 2 switching to routing (BGP) to load balancing to LDAP, NTP, CDN, monitoring and more.
Responsibilities
  • Design Network solutions for new applications, services and sites.
  • Troubleshoot issues across the entire network stack: ISPs, Routers, firewalls, switches, load balancers
  • Identify and drive opportunities to improve automation for the company; scope and create automation for deployment, management and visibility of our services
Requirements
  • Extensive hands on experience with Cisco and Juniper routers and switches
  • Deep knowledge and ability to manage, design and operate network equipment and data lines
  • Expert understanding in mitigating network risks using firewalls and careful planning
  • Expertise in Load Balancing technologies including haproxy
  • Creativity in utilizing open source solution
  • Understanding of infrastructure automation  
  • Knowledge in virtual environment switching
  • Practical, solid knowledge of shell scripting and/or Python
  • Experience supporting multi-tier web application architectures
  • Deep knowledge in WAN and LAN system design, in a multi sited, hybrid cloud environment
  • Track record of successful practical problem solving, excellent written and interpersonal communication
