ICS is looking for a Order Management Specialist for our client in San Antonio. You must understand all procedures required to process sales orders in an accurate and timely manner using Oracle 11i and in full compliance with company policies. Take ownership and a customer-oriented approach for entering, booking, and monitoring all assigned customer orders. Identify process and systems improvements and participate on teams to improve the process and build systems to support future requirements. In this professional position, you will be processing orders, but just as importantly, driving the development of processes and systems to support departmental initiatives and goals.
Essential Functions:
  • In general, proactively identify and help implement enhancements to order management processes and tools to support a positive customer experience, streamline order processing, and provide scalable solutions
  • Enter and troubleshoot sales orders in a complex configure-to-order environment including hardware, software, and service.
  • Adhere to company policies, including bookings policy, revenue recognition, cross regional business policies, etc.
  • Support client's implementation of Oracle Projects and Service modules to ensure proper linkages with Order Management.
  • Manage backlog of assigned open sales orders, ensuring that orders flow through the order fulfillment cycle quickly.
  • Responds to inquiries regarding status of orders and resolves customer order difficulties
  • Respond to field and customer inquiries for expedites or schedule date changes
  • Resolve discrepancies and order issues across departments quickly to meet target lead times and participate in producing metrics.
  • Support efficient and accurate reporting of bookings, backlog, and billings
  • Develop processes to support international expansion and effectively manage global order fulfillment
  • Interface with Finance and influence the quoting and contracting processes to simplify order management booking and billing processes
  • Drive compliance with all SOX reporting requirements and policies
  • Must exhibit excellent time management and problem-solving skills in a high change, fast paced environment

  • BA/BS degree in operations or technical field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in similar Order Management environment
  • Demonstrated accomplishments in building new processes and systems to enhance the OM process
