Our Client is the largest US electronic brokerage firm in the US and they currently experiencing explosive growth in their client base. They are currently looking to add a full Senior System Administrators to their Linux team which will be responsible for maintaining their data center located in Secaucus NJ.

What you will be doing as a Senior Linux Administrator…
  •  Installation and Maintenance of Red Hat Linux computer and network systems.
  • Provide support to a large user base - Our engineers tackle a variety of responsibilities. Whether the task is creating a script, customizing a build template, fixing a bottleneck, or researching a new project you will remain hands-on while working in a challenging environment.
  • Optimization is our goal. We are given the flexibility to implement and customize third-party tools. We also develop and mold our own tools internally. Whether we're increasing our speed or capacity, or decreasing our latency, we're driven to make our systems work better and smarter. 
  • You will be the sole administrator for their data center located in Secaucus and you will be working in with their team located in Greenwich to optimize their Linux infrastructure.
What experience you will need to have as a Senior Linux Administrator…
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline required
  • 3+ years of Linux engineering and/or design experience required
  • Solid understanding of Linux operating system (SUSE, RHEL, CentOS), server hardware (x86 based) and networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, RDMA, SSH, NFS)
  • Familiarity with vulnerability scanning tools: Qualys, Nmap and Nessus – Alert Logic is a plus
  • Possess in-depth working knowledge of Linux patch management and related information security functions
  • Experience with performance optimization, root cause analysis, and advanced troubleshooting. Examples include familiarity with kernel-level and I/O subsystem tweaks and limit controls and tools such as vmstat, strace, tcpdump, and netstat
  • in-depth working knowledge of Linux file systems and storage architecture
  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, HTML, HTTP, SSL, SSH, SFTP, DNS, Apache, Tomcat and LDAP
  • Scripting and automation experience with Python, Perl, Ruby or similar languages required
  • Experience with configuration management and automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet or similar tool required
  • Desired Skills: Linux Kernel, Linux based email systems, and Storage systems.
