Summary
The Information Technology Manager will be responsible for day-to-day management of the Information Technology Department functions that support the business. The qualified candidate will be well versed in technology-related fields including, but not limited to, telecommunications, networking (both LAN and WAN, infrastructure design and management, hardware and software support, physical and logical security practices, disaster mitigation and recovery planning crisis management, help desk management and vendor management.
Core Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Manage day-to-day functions of IT department
  • Coordinate IT initiatives with the management team
  • Operate as a point of contact for internal technology hardware, software and cloud deployments across the company.
  • Coordinate and manage the installation, support, and maintenance of IT service to support future business growth and the
  • movement and/or expansion of business units. This will include support for remote locations.
  • Responsible for the overall design, implementation, and management of the organization s local and wide area networks
  • Manage administration and maintenance of the organization s infrastructure and assign appropriate tasks to staff
  • Develop and maintain documentation on systems policies and procedures in compliance with client contracts and applicable regulations.
  • Responsible for all IT-related compliance and risk management duties
  • Manage new and existing vendors, including contract negotiation, review, and maintenance
  • Responsible for the development and maintenance of the organization's helpdesk functions
  • Prioritize help desk tickets appropriately while maintaining established service level agreements
  • Acts as escalation point for all issues raised to IT and ensure resolution of all issues
  • Conduct proactive analysis of technology issues, evaluate/propose alternatives, and implement solutions.
  • Maintain inventory of company hardware/software (including hardware refresh schedules).
Educational Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in an Information Technology field required
  • Industry certifications (Microsoft, Cisco, etc.) preferred
  • Security clearance is a plus
Required Experience:
  • At least 7 years of progressive experience in an IT service management or service delivery role with extensive experience within a medium to large infrastructure
  • Extensive experience creating and enforcing IT standards and policies
  • Experience with compliance and federal regulations and policies (DFARS, NIST, etc.)
  • Experience working with 3rd party IT providers
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure and hosted services
  • Experience designing and managing Microsoft and open source solutions

  • In-depth knowledge and master of Microsoft server and desktop solutions.
  • Competency with open source operating systems and applications.
  • Firm understanding of networking technologies (TCP/IP, VPN, DNS, DHCP)
  • Knowledge of and ability to administer Microsoft PKI infrastructures.
  • Knowledge of virtualization technologies, specifically Microsoft Hyper-V.
  • Excellent Customer Service skills.
