Senior Messaging Engineer
The Senior Messaging Engineer is responsible for the design, specification, build, implementation, and support of systems. He/she defines technical solutions for maximizing the capabilities of the system. The Senior Systems Engineer is responsible for daily production and optimization of production and maintains an optimized system through performance tuning and monitoring. The Senior System Engineer may be responsible for daily administration duties of systems including but not limited to account maintenance, performance management, error resolution, back-ups, and restores. The Senior Systems Engineer provides outstanding client service and contributes to the organization's mission of utilizing information technology to improve patient care.
 
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES of Senior Messaging Engineer:
Primary responsibility would be part of the  Email Migration Project. This associate will be the primary technical point of contact for Email Migration Project as well participate in the evaluation, design and implementation of Proof of Concept for new products. This associate will also evaluate and propose system enhancements to improve System performance and reliability. The candidate will also work with the Messaging Manager to review incoming requests and incidents to identify patterns to mitigate issues as well as seek out efficiencies with existing processes.
 
Additionally, the candidate will be Member of a Team that provides 7x24x365 support to over 30,000 email users. Candidate will provide support for a Hybrid Email System that involves Office 365 and an on-premise Exchange 2010/2016 Email System. Duties will include but are not limited to account creation, permission assignment, and permission modification System configuration. The candidate will be responsible for keeping System documentation up-to-date and will be responsible for monitoring System Health, System maintenance, and patching.
 
In addition to providing daily core support, projects include:
 
  • White Plains Hospital e-mail migration
  • Retire and Clean up on Premise Exchange 2010
  • Build active Exchange environment Orangeburg Data Center
MUST be able to work well in Team environment. Strong customer orientation and understanding customer requirements. Capability to be proactive and anticipate issues and opportunities for improvement.  Ability to accept and adopt changes in objectives, priorities and new challenges.
 
REQUIRED SKILLS
  • Expert knowledge of e-mail migration from On-Premise to O365
  • Expert Knowledge configuring ActiveSync Online/On-Prem
  • Expert knowledge of Public folder migration
  • Expert knowledge of Exchange 2010/2013/2016/Exchange Online
  • Expert Knowledge of Exchange Online Protection / Advanced Threat Protection
  • Expert Knowledge of e-mail security software's Symantec/ Proof Point / Iron port
  • Expert knowledge of Outlook and OWA clients
  • Very strong knowledge of PowerShell and Other scripting technologies and proven automation deployments
  • Strong knowledge of MS EDGE or other SMTP routing & mail gateways
  • Strong Knowledge of e-discovery and archive solutions
  • Strong knowledge of Active Sync
  • Strong knowledge of Lync/Skype for Business
  • Strong Knowledge of Active Directory, Azure and domain federation
  • Strong Knowledge of Windows and Virtualization technologies
 
PREFERRED SKILLS:
Sharepoint Online/Intune/Microsoft Teams
MCSA and 
 
EDUCATION:  
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science OR  5 + years of RELEVANT work experience
MCSE OR other certification preferred
