SR. AUTOMATION DEVELOPER - MARKETING
A national organization is actively seeking an experienced Sr. Automation Developer to help take their marketing group to the next level.  The ideal Sr. Automation Developer will be strong in Scripting (Javascript, C#, Python, etc.), SQL and Cloud technologies.  You will also be leading a small team and should be comfortable acting as a Project Manager when needed.  The Sr. Automation Developer's goal will be to maximize company sales growth and profitability by increasing the productivity and efficiency of the Marketing department through better automation, which includes Paid Search, Digital Marketing, Email and Direct Mail campaign automation, Audience delivery and Database Management.  Previous experience working with marketing data is highly preferred.  
 
Responsibilities:
Help define marketing technology strategy and oversee projects to develop the marketing department's overall technical proficiency and capability.
Track the latest martech landscape developments and emerging trends. Deploy and monitor marketing technologies, automation and orchestration.
Prioritize multiple demands on Automation team and recommend appropriate implementation plans and timelines.
Manage integrations of technologies across marketing partners including deployment, monitoring and optimization of marketing partner data collection and tagging implementations.
Develop logical, efficient and compliant code to be implemented across a variety of customer data projects.
Maintain, expand and scale marketing and sales activities within marketing automation software
Create and/or modify documentation for programs, process flow, test scripts or other software application needs.
Work with IT team to scope data requirements and fix data integrity issues within marketing automation system and our "one customer view” framework.
Collaborate with other members in the marketing, IT & web teams to identify data gaps and develop solutions.
Work with members of the analytics team to automate access to data as well as the data mining process.
Help marketers measure and analyze communication effectiveness through A/B testing.
Stay current on emerging technologies, web and marketing trends and apply them into operations and activities, specifically around customer data and machine learning.
A passion for marketing and technology in ways that tie technology to fulfilling marketing's business objectives.
Must possess analytical skills and have experience creatively solving complicated problems in a corporate environment.
Manage all aspects of performance and development of direct reports to encourage professional growth.
 
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Engineering preferred or equivalent work experience
3+ years of previous Marketing Automation experience preferred
Experience in scripting languages (Javascript, C#, Python)
Experience with SQL/NoSQL 
Experience with Cloud Computing applications (e.g. Google Cloud Platform, AWS, Azure) 
Prior project management a plus
Ability to work in cross functional teams and manage technical projects of medium to high complexity across the development life cycle
An ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences
Good reading, written and verbal language skills
