Full Charge Bookkeeper

Our client is seeking "full charge " bookkeeper to join our busy, growing Company, this is a great opportunity to be a part of a dynamic team!
Responsible for assisting our Controller with accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, General Ledger Maintenance, and Cost Accounting. Coordinate the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances. Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements and job reports. Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting. Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls

Basic Requirements
  • Degree in Accounting or business administration or equivalent business experience
  • QuickBooks Pro experience (at least 3 years)
  • Strong cost control and project budget management experience.
  • Knowledge of bookkeeping and generally accepted accounting principles
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Spread Sheets including formulas
  • Knowledge of job costing/Work in Progress Reporting
  • Attention to detail a must
  • Motivated self-starter and self-learner
  • Ability to use sound judgment and discretion when handling confidential issues
  • Construction bookkeeping / accounting preferable
  • Payroll and Booking Payroll in software
  • File Sales tax
  • AIA Documents G702/G703
Bookkeeping Duties
  • Full Process Accounts Payable/ Accounts Receivable
  • General Ledger
  • Maintain Vendor & Subcontractor Database
  • Maintaining Accounts Receivable Database
  • Administrative duties such as answering vendor and customer calls, researching and resolving problems
  • Bank and Credit Card reconciliations
  • Process and record payroll
Other Bookkeeping Duties
  • Assemble information for external auditors for annual audits and WC audits
  • Prepare information for external accountant for preparation of financial statements and taxes-Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements
  • Maintain the chart of accounts-Maintain an orderly accounting system - paper and electronic
  • Support Sales & Use Tax Return Filings For Multiple States
  • Maintaining a filing system
