ICS is seeking a Human Resources Associate with strong interpersonal and communication skills to join OUR Client's Chicago office. The HR Associate is responsible for performing a variety of human resource support duties. This position manages the Authorization to Hire process and other HR processes, including but not limited to onboarding, drafting offer letters and termination letters, creating continuing employment letters, and facilitating internal transfers. On occasion, this position will assist HR Business Partners (HRBPs) with projects as assigned and may provide support to other HR professionals in administrative or business specific tasks.

Specific responsibilities include:
  • Obtain all necessary approvals on Authorizations to Hire and transfers for assigned businesses
  • At the direction of HRBPs, create employment and termination letters, as well as memos for employment changes for all assigned businesses
  • Review background check results and escalate issues to HRBPs for additional assessment
  • Communicate regularly with Compliance and Finance to ensure new hires are authorized to join assigned businesses
  • Conduct new hire orientations in Chicago
  • Create organizational charts and distribute to business leaders
  • Perform other related duties and provide project support as assigned or requested

Skills & experience required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field from a four-year accredited university or college
  • Two to four years of Human Resources experience
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail, verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be able to manage multiple assignments simultaneously with the ability to prioritize
  • Ability to demonstrate discretion in handling confidential data and dealing with high-level executives
  • Ability to adapt quickly and appropriately in accordance with the evolution of company and HR processes
  • Microsoft Office proficiency required
  • Experience with HRIS (Workday) is a plus
