QA Test Manager

The QA Test Manager leads and or develops the test planning and development, test execution, defect management, and all other testing activities that lead to the achievement of high quality software delivery of various projects within the organization. Works with the Project Managers to ensure all areas are captured and tested.

Expected Activities
  • Perform QA Testing Principles
    • Design and perform Quality Assurance (QA) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) methodologies and documentation.
    • Develop overall QA approach and detailed test plan for multiple product development efforts which occur in parallel.
    • The execution of all test scripts and end user experience tests.
    • Help with the re-creation and verification of reported issues.
    • Develop and requirements for software including use cases, user stories, and software requirement specifications.
    • Maintain current test scripts and procedures.
    • Managing and maintaining testing-related documentation, including test plans, test cases/scripts, and defect tracking.
    • Tracking problems and communicating defects to developers as they occur.
    • Should be hands on and provide technical expertise on testing needs.
  • Test Communications
    • Work closely with the Project Managers to maintain schedules.
    • Engage with the team frequently to understand status and identify new features.
    • Publish Test Summary Report at the end of Testing.
Requirements/Qualifications:

At least 5 years of experience in software testing with at least 2 years being QA Lead Specialist or Manager.
Experience with cross-browser platforms preferred.

Experience working in an Agile Environment.
Strong interpersonal, mathematical, communication and writing skills.
Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision.
Experience and involvement with the complete software product life cycle.
Experience in testing web-based, desktop and mobile applications.
Excellent communication skills with ability to present professionally to clients.
Knowledge of defect tracking systems such as JIRA is a plus.
