Job Duties of C# Developer:
This C# Developer based in Louisville, KY, will be responsible for the development of web and Windows software applications in support of the migration of the proprietary commodities platforms to new system users. In addition to development work, the candidate should be able to assist in analysis, design and system testing activities in support of the desk migration process. Here are the primary job duties:
  • Develop complex Windows and web applications
  • Build user interface applications and back-end databases using various programming and scripting languages
  • Gather feedback from design and technical staff on application development needs
  • Perform analysis and design to transform user requirements into functional designs
  • Create prototypes and functional specifications for software projects
  • Perform unit and functional testing as required

Risk Responsibilities of C# Developer
  • Responsibility for ensuring that you are fully aware of and adhere to internal policies that relate to you, your role or any other activities for which you have any level of responsibility. It is your responsibility to ensure compliance with operational risk requirements (e.g. cultural behaviours, security policies and regulatory requirements)
  • Complete any mandatory training by the required deadlines.
  • Act with integrity and due skill, care and diligence in carrying out your duties

Technical Skills:
  • Proficient with C#. VB.NET. WCF proficiency a plus.
  • Demonstrated expertise in building Windows and web applications in Microsoft.NET.
  • Create and maintain complex stored procedures in Transact SQL.
  • 2+ years' experience with SQL Server 2012 and above. Experience with SSIS, SSAS and SSRS a plus.
  • Experience with FIX and FIXML a plus.
  • Experience in the energy or financial service sectors a plus.
Other Skills:
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Experience with Agile development methodology.
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills. Ability to gather and analyse information skilfully. Ability to function well in group problem-solving activities.
  • Must be goal oriented and be able to prosper with little day-to-day supervision, while at the same time be able to work well within the Development team.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Some travel may be required. Must have valid passport.
