Systems Analyst

Systems Analyst is responsible for second level support for standard software and hardware during our 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. shift, Monday thru Friday. The Systems Analyst provides effective evaluation of end-user needs. Good judgment and timeliness in response is imperative. Spend at least 6 hours daily working "on-the-phone" support and 2 hours will be spent doing project based work.
  • Log end-user calls to the Help Desk ticketing system together with the information about resolution of each case.
  • Provide technical support to end-users.
  • Trouble-shoot end-user problems and provide detailed information; when necessary re-assign tickets to the higher level of support.
  • Update assets management information in the Help Desk ticketing system.
  • Under the Network Manager's supervision, install, support and maintain one (or several) of the specialized computer systems. The name of the system dedicated to this person is reflected in his position title.
  • Train and support users on specialized software products for use in various Firm service and practice groups.
  • Work together with the Application Development Manager on customization and integration of Firm word processing tools in order to achieve better efficiency for Firm users.
  • Work on special projects assigned by the Help Desk Supervisor and Director of Information Services.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) credential required.
  • 3-4 years experience providing technical support in the corporate environment.
  • Must have or be working towards all of the following certifications: Word Microsoft Office 2007; Outlook Microsoft Office 2007; A+ certification and/or MCP (Windows 7).
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of basic networking technologies and basic MS Windows system administration.
  • Ability to express ideas clearly in both oral and written communication.
  • Ability to communicate efficiently with computer's users over the phone.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects effectively.
  • Available 35 hours per week, variable (M-F), plus "after-hours support. Must be flexible with hours and re-scheduling during work week.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
