Infinity Consulting Solutions (ICS) is currently seeking a talented Infrastructure Engineer for a contract-to-hire opportunity with one of our clients in the Columbus, Ohio area.
Description: Advanced understanding of LOB technology drivers and their impact on architecture design, performance and monitoring, best practices and Banking policies. Advanced knowledge in the following key areas: Hardware Architecture (performance testing, monitoring, operations). Hardware Benchmarking (Agile, program managements, network management). Design (compliance, security). Network Engineering (planning, provision). Proficient in more than one specific infrastructure technology. Advanced understanding of best practices and Banking policies. Demonstrated ability to conceptualize, launch and deliver multiple IT projects on time and within budget. Ability to articulate to more experienced management a technical strategy in clear, concise, understandable terms. Must be able to assemble technology solutions and effectively define and implement a working architecture. Technical certifications as required.
• Support in building AIX and Linux servers and doing further customizations based on LOB requirements.
• Work with AD partners and Project Managers to make sure application build and deployment on newly built servers are done smoothly.
• Respond and resolve Linux/AIX incident tickets generated via automation and customer submission
• Provide timely and accurate updates to incident tickets as required
• Lead technical bridges with technology teams to drive triage and resolution of incidents.
• Resolving high priority incident tickets, with potential customer impacts.
• Environmental oversight and root cause analysis for stability and reliability issues and timely resolution or escalation
Required Skills:
• At least 7 years' experience and a high level of proficiency in Red Hat Enterprise Linux and AIX (preferable in financial services)
• Experience with production support of highly available applications
• Focus on customers, ownership, operations and the ability to deliver results
• Must be able to effectively and efficiently troubleshoot issues with AIX and Red Hat systems to ensure the highest availability and the lowest mean time to restore
• Familiarity with automation tools, such as Autosys or Control-M, CFEngine, Puppet, Ansible is a plus
• Experience in project work, incident management and resolution, change management, patching, release support are a plus
