Senior UC engineer with deep knowledge of IT, telecommunication fundamentals, protocols and UC technologies such as primarily Skype for business and secondarily TP, webex, Slack, Jabber, Spark, Pexsip, Polycom, mobile solutions, etc. Deep knowledge of Microsoft UC environment (Skype for business, Intune, Azure, O365, AD, Exchange, FIM, mobile clients, etc.)

Leads and/or participates in the design, development, and implementation of complex UC, instant messaging and conferencing systems (such as Skype for business and or Cisco Telepresence) engineering activities involving cross-functional technical support, systems programming and data center capabilities. Responsible for components of highly complex engineering and/or analytical tasks and activities. Establishes input/output processes and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility, coordination of overall systems design, and integration with other solutions.

Viewed as a UC (Skype, TP, webex, Slack, Jabber, Spark, Pexsip) technology subject matter expert. Possesses UC mobility expertize (EDGE, VCS) and deep understanding of MDM/MAM--such as Intune--implementation.
Able to design (Visio) and communicate complex technology solutions across differing audiences including technical, managerial, business executives, and/or vendors. Will have responsibility for multiple, complex projects.

Leads the tier 4 support, vendor interaction and resolution process for complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors. Exercises judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criterion for obtaining results.

Skills Requirements
  • Deep knowledge of Microsoft UC environment (Skype for business, Intune, Azure, O365, AD, Exchange, FIM, mobile clients, etc.)
  • Proficient technical writing skills using MS Office suite - Powerpoint, Visio, Word, Excel, Project.
  • Prior enterprise-wide engineering and implementation experience with Skype for Business and similar systems such as TP, webex, Slack, Jabber, Spark, Pexsip, Polycom, mobile solutions, etc.
  • Advanced technical/admin expertise with Exchange, Active Directory, Windows Server, IIS, IP networking and load balancing.
  • Basic project management skills and able to create work plans/estimates
  • Proficient communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent attention to detail, as evidenced by error-free documents and project communiques
  • Ability to work under pressure and produce interim deliverables on a same-day or next-day basis when so required
  • Microsoft and Cisco certifications are desirable
  • Understanding of financial industry compliance requirements
Technology Skills
  • Skype/Lync Administration and Design with experience in global service deployment of Voice and Conferencing services
  • Strong knowledge of Voice design practices using Cisco and Microsoft technology
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Skype EDGE environment and functions
  • Strong Powershell scripting background
  • Ability to create reports using SQL Reporting Services and related tools
  • Advanced conceptual or working technical knowledge of the following a plus:
    • Networking Design - Routers, Firewalls, DMZ, IP, Load Balancing
    • MS SQL - Database security, jobs, and queries
    • Desktop/Server Virtualization - Citrix, VMWare, HyperV
    • Systems Monitoring - MOM/SCOM, Sitescope
    • Active Directory - Schema Prep, OU Security, GPOs, Permissions
