The Position:
We are hiring a Lead Automation Engineer who will provide leadership and direction for a specific Quality "practice” including but not limited to Software Development Testing, Metrics and Tracking, and Processes and Tools. The Lead QIA will be responsible for managing a team of Quality Assurance Testers and/or Quality Improvement Analysts with specific responsibilities as defined by their practice. The Lead QIA works directly with the Quality Program Manager to identify areas of opportunity and ways to build and grow a world class quality program.

What You'll Do:
  • Complete estimation, test design and planning and test execution for projects assigned.
  • Work with teams to ensure that requirements documentation can be easily translated into test cases/scenarios, and ensure that the proper testing plans have been completed.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers, Applications Development and Infrastructure leads to document, investigate and resolve quality issues.
  • Report, track and determine priority of reported bugs and investigating problems involving internal and external issues.
  • Provide relevant test scenarios for the testing team, and work with test team to develop system and integration test scripts and ensure the testing results correspond to the business expectations.
  • Ability to maintain and execute existing automation scripts.
  • Provide test progress report with metrics to project stakeholders.
  • Review and analyze reports, records and directives.
  • Oversee the completion of estimation, test design and planning and test execution based on quality "practice”.
  • Manage a team of employee and contract resources in support of the Quality Program.
  • Evaluate current procedures and practices for accomplishing the assigned work functions objectives to develop and implement improved procedures and practices and to ensure compliance with required standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or self-initiated.

Skills/Experience You'll Need:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience, preferred.
  • 4-6 years of Quality Assurance industry experience with a focus on developing quality programs and increasing quality.
  • Proficiency with Java, Selenium Webdriver. Comprehensive knowledge about automation testing tools, custom framework, ability to review Java, Groovy and SQL scripts.
  • Proficiency to define highly complex automated test cases and scenarios.
  • Knowledge of GEB/SPOCK framework and Continuous Integration/ Continuous Deployment using Jenkin
  • Knowledge in Maven, TestNG, Gradle, GIT
  • Proficiency with web/rest services automation testing tools to include (but not limited to) JMeter, SOAP UI, Rest Assured etc.
  • 2+ Microsoft SQL experience, working knowledge of Database, ability to write basic queries using SQL Plus
  • 2+ Microsoft Visual Studio & Team Systems
  • Proven data analysis, data verification, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Knowledge of and experience using Agile methodology for project delivery
  • Comprehensive knowledge of testing methodologies and application debugging from a technical and business perspective.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, including requirements analysis and basic application architecture knowledge.
  • Proficiency with web services testing tools to include (but not limited to) JMeter, SOAP UI etc.
  • Experience in AWS/Cloud-based implementation preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic team-oriented environment.
  • Strong knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project).
