 VP/Head of Business Lending - Job Opening at McGuinness Headquarters in Brooklyn, NY

MUST HAVES:
-STRONG LEADER with proven leadership skills and comfrotable with a team of 8plus people immeidately
-Credit/Analysis experience within the lending space
-Commercial Real Estate Lending experience - specifically multifamily/mix use properties and small retail
           

Core Responsibilities
  • MBL lead loan originator with primary responsibility for MBL growth, goal attainment and related portfolio and fee income targets as established by the credit union/CLO.
  • Conduct initial reviews of all credit requests to determine feasibility and compliance with regulations, policies and risk tolerances.
  • Interface with both internal and external auditors, regulators and examiners, providing guidance and clarity on performance and operations of MBS Credit functions.
  • Serve as the primary loan/relationship officer for more complex credits. Evaluate financial information submitted in consideration of these requests, review/prepare credit recommendations and approve loans within approved lending limit resulting in well documented and fundamentally sound credit decisions... Recommend for approval loans exceeding approved lending limit to the Credit Risk Committee/Board of Directors
  • Ensure PSFCU policies and procedures are compliant with all local, state and federal regulations.
  • Meet with Member applicants jointly where and when necessary to clarify credit requests and proper structuring of credit proposals.
  • Provide coaching and consultation to subordinates.
  • Review and sign all Letters of Intent & Commitment Letters.
  • Serve as primary contact person for internal audits, external loan reviews and NCUA examinations.
  • Coordinate marketing and advertising programs with the CLO and Marketing Department.
  • Review management reports, loan reports, pipeline, loan servicing volumes, closing, etc. in order to measure and evaluate efficiency and productivity of the groups, and provide support for all incentive programs.
  • Perform physical property inspections when necessary
  • Any other duties or responsibilities, as required or assigned.
 
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Diverse commercial lending experience including commercial real estate and construction lending.
  • Knowledge of loan origination/financial analysis systems.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in Business Credit analysis, workflow organization and processing procedures.
  • Commercially credit trained or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years managerial and supervisory experience.
  • Ability to clearly and concisely present analysis and promote credit solutions to Member business needs.
