Director of Software Product Management

Position Summary
The Director of Software Product Management will provide leadership to a mature, multidisciplinary team of product managers, project managers, UX designers and business analysts. S/he will identify growth opportunities in the industry, develop business cases for new features or products to meet the needs of internal and external customers and ensure on time, under budget delivery of IT solutions that exceed quality expectations.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, MIS, or related field, or commensurate level of professional experience
  • Minimum of 10 years related experience in agile environments with a proven track record of successfully implementing new products or features through various channels of customer engagement
  • Experience in Oil & Gas industry with focus on Petroleum Engineering and Geophysics
  • Ability to gain a deep understanding of customer needs; articulate complex ideas and designs in a simple and understandable fashion; and develop comprehensive product vision, strategy & roadmap
  • Experience defining user story requirements including acceptance criteria and prototype of design
  • Experience coordinating all aspects of product releases via direct communication with key stakeholders.
  • Experience implementing frameworks to measure analyze the performance of teams and products against key performance indicators and administer feedback from multiple unique sources, including customers and internal resources
  • Familiarity with statistical analysis, machine learning and artificial intelligence will be a major asset
  • This is not an ivory tower position. In addition to owning the strategic software strategy & roadmap, the successful candidate will be expected to roll up their sleeves and conduct business analysis and project management if/when necessary.

  • Constant sitting and close visual work at desk or computer
  • Frequent lifting of folders, files, binders and other objects weighing up to 20 lbs.
  • Occasional bending and stooping to pick up boxes and equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
