Systems Administrator
Our client, a growing MSP in Stamford CT, is looking for a Systems Administrator to join an expanding team of IT professionals serving clients in the Tri-State area.
Duties & Responsibilities of Systems Administrator
Understanding of networking concepts: TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, DHCP, DNS, Routing, Switching and
Experience with Cisco routers, Catalyst switches and PIX/ASA firewalls
Manage and support Microsoft Windows Server and Exchange environments.
Manage and support VMWare environment.
Perform scheduled patching of servers.
Configure and action back-up and restore requests.
Perform troubleshooting analysis of servers, workstations and associated systems
Architect, design and implement virtual Infrastructure solutions utilizing Citrix XenServer
Ability to diagnose server hardware, capacity, and performance issues for windows servers.
Experience in supporting and managing MS Exchange 2007/2010
Proficiency in Windows Server 2003 & 2008 with ability to utilize Microsoft tools and
methodology for troubleshooting issues.
Active Directory / Exchange Administration/ Blackberry Enterprise Server
Provide top level technical support for troubleshooting and complex problem resolution on
escalated issues.
Follows best practices on all work performed
Maintain and extend technical skills and knowledge in order to remain proficient in the role.
Ability to multi-task in a fast paced IT environment.
Ability to self governance
Ability to see through projects from start to completion
Flexibility in work hours, with ability to often work overtime.
Self starter and ability to work with minimal guidance
Excellent communicator, update team/clients of work performed
Ability to absorb and retain information quickly
Be highly organized and create detailed documentation
Certification would be desirable
Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
Sets high standards of performance for oneself
Establishes harmonious working relationships with team members.
