Platform Services Manager

The Platform Services Manager will bring 10+ years of proven IT Management experience and a high energy, DevOps mindset, to build and mentor a small high performing team supporting multiple platform technologies. The Platform Services Manager will drive adoption of Platform Services globally across all departments, leveraging strong experience with Microsoft SharePoint, as well as proven experience managing web based server platforms running on Microsoft Azure and Amazon AWS. Knowledge of popular content management systems, configuration management and automation tools, scripting, and collaboration solutions is a must.
Responsibilities
  • Serve as the Subject Matter Expert for all things SharePoint
  • Manage budgets and cost chargeback for MS Azure and Amazon AWS services
  • Optimize and evolve the cost effective use of emerging technologies to improve agility and time to market for agencies
  • Management Tier 2 and 3 support of Platform Services portfolio
  • Full life-cycle project management of specific platform services related initiatives
  • Product testing
  • Business analysis / requirements gathering for new projects
  • Product roadmap execution
  • Vendor relationships
  • Project management, Implementations and roll-outs

Experience
  • 10+ years of IT Management Experience
  • Proven experience leading the Plan, Build, Run and Migration of both SharePoint On-Prem and SharePoint Online
  • Knowledge of Cloud Platforms – AWS, Azure, Google
  • Knowledge of High Availability and Disaster Recovery concepts
  • Knowledge of Content Management Systems – WordPress, Kentico, etc...
  • Knowledge of O365 capabilities and operations
  • Ability to support and correctly navigate escalations of media applications issues
  • Relationship management
    • Ability to build and foster strong technology relationships between business units, business partners, and clients
    • Ability to effectively resolve conflict, both internally and externally with other technology partners
    • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Leadership
    • Ability to manage and mentor a small high performing, highly technical team
    • Ability to develop and recommend sound cost effective technology solutions
    • Ability to drive global standards and process
