SOA Engineer

SOA Engineer

Responsibilities
  • Support the development of SOA, API and BPM solutions by collecting requirements and defining specifications for each subsystem, and then work with teams to design and develop software per those specifications
  • Ensure systems and processes support the organization's business requirements and meet the needs of end users by identifying functional and technical requirements based on interactions with the user community and knowledge of the platform capabilities.
  • Design and implement service models and interfaces to provide for present and future cross-functional requirements and interfaces. Identifies, assesses, and presents options for meeting the functional and technical requirements.
  • Ensure these services are compatible and in compliance with the client organization and other applicable Federal Standards for security, interoperability, accessibility and optimized data management (e.g., sharing, analytics, etc.)
  • Work collaboratively with team leads and supervisors to meet goals and objectives.
  • Contribute to analyses for feasibility of potential future projects vs. risk, cost, and schedule

Qualifications
*Must have or be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance

Required Experience
  • Seven (7) or more years of relevant experience
  • Five (5) or more years of experience with Software AG and/or webMethods
  • Experience with multiple full life cycle SOA and/or API projects based on the webMethods product suite
  • Knowledge of webMethods CentraSite and Mediator
  • Experience with creating Service Model artifacts
  • Experience with ISO 9001 standards and CMMI Development practices
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

Preferred Experience
  • Experience with Agile development processes

Education and Training
  • Bachelor's degree in Information technology discipline
    • Additional IT certifications a plus - especially with the webMethods product suite
