A preeminent, full-service law firm with offices around the world and a staff as diverse as the practice areas they support are seeking a dynamic and motivated individual for the role of Risk Management Compliance Analyst. This position in the Risk Management Compliance Department assists the Firm in complying with external regulating bodies. A Risk Management Compliance Analyst interacts with the entire Risk Management Department including New Business Conflicts, Calendar Court Services, and Information Governance and Records Management personnel.
Essential Job Duties Include:
  • Audit Letters: prepare formal responses to audit inquiry letters from clients, which involves entering, tracking, and assigning letters; maintaining historical information; surveying and compiling responses from attorneys; communicating with auditors and/or clients; conducting database and internet research; and synthesizing, distilling, and compiling information into a comprehensive final response for the client and its auditor.
  • Attorney Bar Registration: process, monitor, and file attorney bar registration forms for domestic offices, including specialized registrations for tax and intellectual property attorneys.
  • IRS Compliance: monitor internal information about corporate matters so that relevant data is tracked and filed with the IRS.
  • Lobbying Compliance: file lobbying disclosure reports for the firm generally and specifically for any attorney who functions as a lobbyist.
  • Client and SEC compliance: conduct research and collect data to assist in the preparation of respones to inquiries from the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (Client) and the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
  • Special projets as assigned.
 
 
Qualifications & Requirements

  • attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks
  • proficiency with Word, Excel, and the internet
  • Must also be skilled at writing and proofreading.
  • A Bachelors degree is required.
  • Experience in a law firm or accounting firm experience is preferred.
  • Candidates must be available to work overtime, particularly during our busy season of January through April.
