General Summary:
The primary responsibility of the IT business analyst is to discuss process improvement and other initiatives with end-users and define business requirements. At every stage of the initiative, the Business Analyst must try to understand the needs of the project stakeholders, and work accordingly to satisfy them with appropriate solutions.

Major Responsibilities: 
Elicit business and system requirements by using a variety of methods: end-user interviews, requirements workshops, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis.
  • Evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile any conflicts, decompose high-level information into details and distinguish end-user requests from the underlying true business needs.
  • Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal resources to analyze information needs and functional requirements and deliver the functional and business requirements documentation as needed.
  • Drive and challenge business units on their assumptions of how they will successfully execute project plans along with IT.
  • Serves as the conduit between the end-user community (internal and external customers) and the IT team through which requirements flow to.
  • Develop requirements specifications according to standard templates, using natural language that the end-user and the IT team can easily understand.
  • Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs.
  • Be the liaison between the business units, technology teams and support teams.
  • Evaluate changes required to existing ERP and other systems.
  • Coordinate requirements walk-through and sign-offs, verifying with user representatives/stakeholders that use cases and process models accurately meet defined business needs.
  • Contribute to the development of project plans and other project management documentation.
  • Drive the testing process with business users and IT to validate systems changes perform properly.
Requirements and Qualifications:
An IT Business Analyst requires knowledge and proficiency in the following areas:

  • Knowledge of organizations and business operations
Education, Licenses, Certificates, Registrations and/or Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in computer science, accounting or related
  • Fashion industry experience
