Director of Accounting

ICS is currently seeking a Director of Accounting responsible for leading the Accounting team in ensuring the Company's financial statements are prepared accurately, timely and in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis including related internal controls.
This is scheduled to be a temporary positon. Bilingual, English/Spanish highly preferred

Responsibilities:
  • Manages the monthly closing process within scheduled close timeline for reporting
  • Manages monthly and quarterly consolidated reporting process
  • Assumes ownership of the numbers included in the filings with by preparing the support binders which document a proper tie out of all numbers included in the quarterly/year-end filings.
  • Works with senior management and FP&A Director to analyze financial statement variances and explain results.
  • Responsible for applying accounting principles and procedures to analyze financial information, support the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports and statements, and ensure appropriate accounting control procedures.
  • Serves as an internal technical accounting resource for revenue recognition and other US GAAP or IFRS related accounting issues.
  • Management and monitoring of the accounts receivable, revenue recognition, fixed asset and other general ledger processes, policies and procedures.
  • Manages the Sales and Use Tax accounting and reporting process.
  • Administration and coordination of daily banking operations.
  • Assists external auditors, planning, and scheduling; as the primary audit liaison, leads department contribution in internal and external financial audits.
  • Supports the annual insurance renewal process.
  • Manages the development, implementation, and interpretation of goals, policies, and procedures relating to accounting, financial management and reporting.
  • Responsible for exhibiting professional behavior with both internal and external business associates that reflects positively on the company and is consistent with the company's policies and practices.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting discipline or equivalent; CPA preferred.
  • Minimum of seven to ten (7-10) years of senior accounting experience.
  • Accounting experience in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of three to five (3-5) years of leadership experience.
  • Advanced Excel skills are required.
  • Previous FP&A or accounting experience within a manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
  • ERP experience
  • Strong understanding and application of GAAP and SOX treatments and guidelines.
  • Extensive knowledge of the compilation, analysis, reconciliation and auditing methods used in processing financial and accounting transactions.
  • Ability to work autonomously, within prescribed guidelines, and as a team member.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing to all levels within the organization.
  • Detailed oriented, advanced analytical and technical skills are required.
  • Ability to multi-task, work under pressure with multiple deadlines.
