Head of Compliance

Pay Rate : $ 160,000.00 - 200,000.00 /Year
The Head of Compliance will be responsible for the build-out and management of the Compliance Management System and owning Compliance initiatives in support small business financing products and services, and developing internal policies and programs associated with regulatory and partnership requirements:
  • Monitor all federal and state laws affecting the operations of the Company and coordinates changes in operations systems as needed
  • Keeps company personnel and management informed of regulatory changes and communicates to all departments as necessary.
  • Communicates with customers on compliance related matters.
  • Create and execute compliance reviews/audits for loan origination process.
  • Responsible for maintaining Regulatory Compliance for lending laws from, RESPA, TILA, Dodd-Frank Act, FCRA to various high cost and licensing laws, including SAFE act.
Qualifications:
  • Must have an in-depth knowledge of lending laws from, RESPA, TILA, Dodd-Frank Act, FCRA to various high cost and licensing laws, including SAFE act.
  • Should have knowledge of GSE-related requirements, plus FHA, VA, and USDA lending requirements.
  • Does not need to know how to program, but must have comprehension of logic and an understanding of how forms are programmed to assist with quality assurance.
  • Compliance testing experience.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced-environment and meet multiple and sometimes competing deadlines.
  • Ability to supervise staff when needed.
  • Familiarity with online research resources.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions.
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills needed to effectively present information to employees and management communicate with customers and publish articles.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations including Bank Secrecy Act and Anti-Money Laundering (BSA/AML), Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), Unfair or Deceptive Acts or Practices (UDAP), Truth in Lending Act (TILA) etc.
  • At least 7 years of proven experience in a compliance role.
