Manager, Global Inventory and Capex

BASIC FUNCTION
  • Lead the financial and forecasting processes for Global Inventories and Capex, ensuring consistent, timely and accurate reporting.

MAJOR DUTIES
  • Create, analyze, and fine-tune individual and grouped item-demand forecasts and inventory plans.
  • Analyze and rationalize forecasts and actual demand, then assist in the improvement process to support efficient forecasting and replenishments.
  • Proactively and frequently communicate to management, internal cross-functional team members, external customers and strategic partners in a clear concise manner regarding economics, pricing, workflow etc.
  • Review inventory adjustments related to inventory movements including cycle counts, physical inventory, waste.
  • Prepare Monthly Operations Report's for Global DCs including D&W and GTM Freight, DC statistics, results analysis, EBIT results, CapEx.
  • Analysis of fixed cost variance to prepare action plan for future risks/opportunities.
  • Strive for continuous improvement in month-end reporting capabilities.
  • Assist with preparation of annual budgets and periodic estimates.
  • Prepare or assist with other monthly journal entries as needed.
  • Define or develop cost models to support monthly reporting
  • Support SOX controls and inventory management including participation in physical inventories.
  • Collaborate with all operations business units and Senior VP Operations and Finance leaders to lead financial reporting and forecasting for Global Inventory and Capital Expenditures.
  • Lead and coordinate Global Inventories and Capex budgeting, forecasting, reporting and financial/operational analyses. This includes brand allocations, reserve management, capex ROI, target setting.
  • Effectively communicate with senior global/sector teams, variance drivers and actionable solutions.
  • Track projects and support teams to ensure timely implementation and results are met.
  • Continue developing and innovating financial processes and systems that improve reporting timings and data visibility. Create actionable reports that identify cost variances and opportunities.
  • Support SAP implementation to ensure effective transition by providing highly accurate data reporting and collaborating with operations and finance team to define future processes and reporting requirements.
  • Act as a change agent, staying close to projects and guiding teams until successful implementation.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED: Describe
  • 7+ Years finance experience in Client companies and assignment in Manufacturing/Distribution Finance
  • Demonstrated experience creating and leading high performance multi-functional teams
  • Results driven and innovative
  • Demonstrated experience in leading change
  • Advanced Microsoft office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to Multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Some travel required (15%) to distribution sites globally
  • SAP experience (desired)
  • ROI and Cost Accounting Experience
