Information Architecture and Data Management are the critical areas driving the optimization and rationalization of the technology stack, to meet major business objectives and to support the reduction of costs, lowering risk, increasing performance and enabling the transparency of business performance and client satisfaction.
The Information Architect will work as part of the Global Spread Information Architecture team to achieve a number of strategic deliverables and needs to negotiate, agree and deliver artefacts such as Taxonomy, Business Entity Model, Conceptual and Logical Data Models, Communication Contracts and govern their implementation and traceability between Logical and Physical Data models.
The Information Architect will be considered the Subject Matter Expert on Data and Information Architecture and Management working closely and collaboratively with the project development teams, ensuring that the design is implementable and that delivery is consistent with the agreed design.
The Information Architect will also work with the Firm-wide, CIB and Markets architecture teams on strategic initiatives such as Application Portfolio Rationalization, Finance and Business Management Data Modeling and CIB Data Strategy to define standards, tooling and on-going Information Architecture deliverables such as Reference Data, Data Lineage, Lifecycle Management, Quality Monitoring, etc.
Key responsibilities
  • Successful track record on several major technology implementation projects
  • Hands-on data modelling skills utilizing tools such as MagicDraw, Erwin, Power Designer, etc.
  • Knowledge of different data modelling methodologies with the ability to read and understand data models presented in a variety of formats
  • Experience in creating and reviewing Architecture and Development artefacts such as Conceptual and Logical Data Models
  • Data driven mindset, experience in data analysis and data mining, including advanced SQL knowledge
  • Knowledge of core Information Architecture capabilities, including Master and Reference Data Management, Data Quality (DQ), Metadata Management, Data Taxonomy, Data Integration, Data Migration and Data Modelling
  • Ability to collaborate with business teams in order to understand, translate and capture the requirements into Taxonomies, Conceptual and Logical Data Models, Interface Specifications, etc.
  • Develop and manage the data modelling best practices, patterns and standards
  • Contribute and assist the Lead Information Architecture SME and Design Authority, with ability to forge and develop relationships with key business stakeholders and development teams
  • Experience working with Big Data implementations (both relational and non-relational)
  • Educated to degree level, or with appropriate career experience
  • Strong collaboration and relationship management skills across a wide range of stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently, taking a leadership role on specific efforts
  • Ability to multi-task, moving easily between strategy and execution
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
