Our client is seeking an IT Recruiter to work in their Brooklyn, NY office. The IT Recruiter is responsible for all aspects of the recruitment process to include sourcing, screening, interviewing, presenting qualified candidates to the IT team, and pre-employment processing of all new employees of the IT department.  The IT Recruiter will collaborate closely with the IT department to obtain a full understanding of the hiring needs in order to create and update job descriptions. In addition, it is expected that the IT Recruiter maintain relationships with the employees of the IT department to ensure continued success of the position filled.
IT Recruiter Responsibilities:
  • Operates with a high sense of urgency to source, interview, and select applicants for technical positions within the IT department. Evaluate work experience and education requirements for job vacancies.
  • Supervise pre-employment testing procedures for new applicants, and assists in determining which tests to administer.
  • Inform applicants of job duties and specifications, benefits overview and pertinent Hospital polices.
  • Establish and maintain consultative relationships with IT Hiring Managers to understand business needs and priorities to help build an effective recruiting strategy for the IT department. Goes the extra step to please clients and candidates. 
  • Refer qualified applicants to departments for interview and final approval.
  • Ensure that references are checked and pre-employment physical and Background checks are completed prior to applicant's employment.  Verify licenses and certifications as required by NYS Regulatory Agencies. 
  • Follow up with IT Dept. Head and Hiring Managers regarding new hire start dates and orientation schedules.
  • Oversee the placement of Temporary Staffing for departments as needed and monitors monthly bills for same.
  • Generate monthly reports (i.e. JSF, OJF) and other reports deemed necessary for efficient employment activity.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with schools and agencies as outreach activities for recruitment. Utilizes the internet and other websites, as a form of recruitment.
  • Oversee the posting of vacancies and follows up on internal transfers and union referrals. Follows the protocol mandated by NYS Regulatory Agency.
  • Performs other duties as requested.
IT Recruiter Education & Experience:
  • BA/BS Degree in Human Resource, Social Science, Business, and/or Hospital Administration.
  • Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of progressively responsible related experience in a Recruiting, or Human Resource Generalist role.
  • Minimum of one (1) to three (3) years Technical IT Recruitment experience.
  • At least one (1) year of supervisory experience.
