Desktop Support:
Main Duties for Desktop Support:
  • Provide second-line desktop O/S and core productivity applications support;
  • Provide first-line support for market data applications;
  • Engage Application Development support groups on application issues;
  • Escalate infrastructure issues to the local/regional Production Support teams; Provide out-off hour and weekends/holidays coverage.
  • Market Data - Client and Reuters Support Person Requirements
Qualifications for Desktop Support:
  • Education Preferred MCSE/MCSA; ITIL certification.
  • Experience required 2 years' experience at a global investment bank supporting front office businesses;
  • First-hand experience working with traders, salespeople.
Skills/Aptitude Required for Desktop Support:
  • Market data applications: Client, Reuters, etc;
  • Window XP/2000 Desktop to registry level; Excel XP/2003 to VBA,
  • add-in level; Office XP/2003;
  • Blackberrys; remote working (VPN);
  • Ticket-logging system: Remedy, Client, etc;
  • Can work well under pressure;
  • Can manage volatile situations;
  • Able to relate technical issues/concepts to non-technical staff.
