Trade Floor Support

The Trade Floor Support will have a strong background in Desktop Support in a trading environment and should be experienced in managing and resolving a broad array of Desktop issues, Telecommunications issues related to turrets, private lines along with network patching, cabling and datacenter management.

The Trade Floor Support should have a Minimum B.A MIS or equivalent technical experience and be able to:
  • Work as part of a team yet should be independent enough to troubleshoot technical problems on their own.
  • Manage problem resolution to a satisfactory completion by keeping abreast of assigned tickets and following the proper escalation procedures.
  • Manage Client expectations in terms of complex problem resolution times.
  • Act as a liaison to vendors' service representatives to resolve problems.
  • Manage and coordinate both simple and complex hardware/software deployments.
  • Work flexible work hours including Late nights and weekends as needed.
  • The ability to coordinate and execute any moves, adds and changes within the branch office
  • The ability to support remote office locations as needed.
Job responsibilities include:
  • Daily support of a very active, fast-paced, high volume, diverse trading environment
  • Responsible for day-to-day implementation, support, and maintenance of infrastructure, including all hardware, software, telephone, and turrets.
  • Deploy / Support all Desktop Hardware
  • Deploy / Support all Telecom Hardware
  • Deploy / Support all Firm Blackberry's
  • Deploy / Support Firm Issued IPhones / IPads (Mobile Iron MDM)
  • Frontline Support for all Desktop Software
  • Support all in-house & 3rd party desktop apps.
  • Documentation of all systems including existing and new applications, scheduled maintenance, and incoming direct wires/demark information.
  • Responsible for assisting on projects for other groups, such as Facilities & Infrastructure Engineering Groups globally.
  • Inventory control - RMAs, service calls. New equipment requests
  • MAC's
  • Frontline Support for all Desktop Software
  • Coordinate & Manage Vendor Support
  • Submit Application Packaging Requests and certify for production.
  • Support all Application Deployments
  • Rack & Stack Data Center Equipment
  • Active Directory Services Support
  • Print Server (Management & Support)
  • Networking (Patching, Testing & Support)
  • Maintain Server / NAS File Security
  • TV Distribution Systems Support
  • BCP (Setup, Configuration & Testing)
  • Implement & Manage AD Security
  • Firewall Rule Support
  • Citrix / VDI infrastructure Support
Experience & Skills Required:
  • Technologies and hardware that we use include: Windows 7 / 10, MAC OS, Bloomberg, Fidessa, IPC turrets, Client desktops, Blackberry's, iPhones / iPads, Printers, Cisco VOIP phones, Lotus Notes, MS Office 2010 / 2013 / 2016, 365.
  • In depth knowledge of Windows 7 & Windows 10.
  • Scripting Knowledge (a plus but not a requirement)
  • Knowledge of IPC trading turrets
  • Knowledge of all desktop hardware such as Client pc's, printers, Blackberry's etc
  • Ambitious and willing to learn new technologies.
  • Excellent communication, personality and presentation skills.
  • Candidates must be able to work in a team environment.
  • Willing to work off hours, long days and weekends as needed.
  • Must have excellent decision-making and organizational skills, detail oriented, and the ability to work independently on assigned tasks.
