Director of IT Infrastructure
Our client is looking for a hands on Director of IT- Infrastructure who is interested in being involved with contributing ideas, strategy, and IT expertise in order to assist with the sustainable growth of an organization.
Director of IT- Infrastructure Job Duties Include:
  • Work collaboratively with the partners, Director of IT- Applications, and others in accordance with the Mission and Values of our client to assist, advance and implement IT systems. Assist in maintaining and enhancing our client's reputation as the leader in managed Cloud Services.
  • Manage and own our clients IT infrastructure and provide hands on engineering and support as necessary
  • Heavy road mapping and strategy for future engagements and evolving our client's hosting infrastructure as the organization grows
  • Working with application and hosting teams to ensure that our client's infrastructure is capable of supporting them with as little downtime as possible
  • Document process and FAQ processes
  • Analyses, logs, tracks and resolves routine software/hardware matters pertaining to networking connectivity issues, printer, servers, and applications to meet business needs.
  • Coordinates hardware/software installations and upgrades to ensure work is properly performed in accordance with company policy. Recommends resolution and coordinates the implementation of the approved course of action.
  • Coordinates and monitors troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose common system problems; documents system events to ensure continuous functioning. Recommends course of action and implements as approved.
  • Oversees the installation of client department-specific applications and systems. Ensures installations are in accordance with appropriate operating procedures; determines revisions or updates to installation as needed.
  • Coordinates testing, upgrades and configuration of system files and services. Ensures changes are in accordance with appropriate operating procedures; recommends revisions or changes based upon results. Prepares for and prescribes approaches to possible downstream implications.
  • Utilizes standard corporate tools to record change and problem activities for tracking purposes.
  • Responsible for configuring VMware, Cisco, Citrix and Windows network.
Job Requirements
Required Knowledge and Skills
  • Degree in Computer Science or related certifications, or the combination of education and experience that would enable performance of the full scope of the position
  • Heavy hands on experience with Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls is required
  • Advent Experience a plus
  • Datacenter Experience a plus.
  • Recent experience with VMware provisioning and administration
  • Hands on experience within Windows environments
  • Familiar with disaster recovery practices
  • Experience with Vendor Management
  • Experience with Environmental Reporting
  • Excellent personality and client facing attributes
  • Ability to work with high end users and decision makers within the financial services industry
  • CCNP, CCIE or commensurate experience
  • Experience working within SaaS environments is a plus, but not required
  • Experience growing IT teams, organizations, and infrastructure within a rapidly growing environments a plus
