Job Summary:
Manage the day to day IT Operations for the firm. Automate and improve process efficiencies to run a more effective IT Operations. Manage a 3rd party (IPSoft) to ensure they are meeting standards and executing in the most effective manner. Oversee teams' daily activities and ensure tickets are entered, escalated, and tracked efficiently. Assign tasks and projects to members of the Operations team.  Manage the allocation of resources to all tasks to ensure timely completion of projects and still maintain adequate support.
 
Major Responsibilities:
  • Manage a team of 3-4 resources handling 2nd level support (Network, System Admiration, Telecom, Tidal)
  • Manage 3rd party 1st level monitoring team including escalations, improving efficiencies, tracking deviations, automating and continuously improving all items within scope
  • Work on projects to automate runbooks and orchestration throughout IT
  • Serve as a fully seasoned/proficient senior technical resource; provides subject matter knowledge and capabilities as team manager
  • Recommend and implement corrective solutions as needed, with a strong focus on automation
  • Oversee the Telecom L2 engineers and collaborate with LAN technicians/network administrators to ensure efficient operation of the company's desktop computing environment. Where required, administer and resolve issues with associated end-user workstation networking software products.
  • Manage the allocation of resources to all tasks to ensure timely completion of projects and still maintain adequate support.
  • Provide operational support and administration for various enterprise systems as necessary
  • Prepare tests and applications for monitoring performance and then provide performance statistics.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor degree in IT or equivalent
  • Excellent technical knowledge of network, windows and Linux server hardware and software
  • Working technical knowledge of current protocols, operating systems, and standards.
  • Experience managing a team
  • Extreme attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize and effectively manage multiple tasks
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to work independently and in a team environment
  • Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong architecture and technical support/trouble shooting skills.
