Job Description

The Telecom Administrator will perform administration functions to support and enhance Avaya phone system and all related components within call center environment. The Telecom Administrator must work as a team member, and adhere to company's policies and guidelines to assist and provide support to users.

Job Duties Include
  • The Telecom Administrator will provide primary administration and support of telephony and related system to end-users.
  • Install, setup, and troubleshoot desk phones, soft phones, and cell phones.
  • Install, setup, and troubleshoot application related to telephony or connected to telephony system, such as CTI Pop-up application.
  • Perform administration functions in Avaya phone switch.
  • Create documentations and provide customer facing technical presentations as needed.
  • Perform helpdesk functions as needed.
  • Assists in developing instructions, guidelines, standards and /or policies. Seeks resolution to Tier I work orders escalated through the IT Support Process
  • Develops and publishes monthly production statistics, as directed, to report on system performance
  • Cabling and wiring for testing and installation of telecom equipment.
  • Adhere to company's policy and all security standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills
  • Associate's degree in information systems, or equivalent combined education and experience.
  • Good customer service, troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and to meet deadlines.
  • 1-2 years call center experience is preferred.
  • Basic understanding of networking, TCP, UDP, IP protocol is a plus.
  • 1-2 years of Avaya or equivalent VoIP technology is a plus.
  • Proficient in MS-Office.
  • Basic knowledge of database - able to read, understand, and write simple SQL queries.
  • Ability to proactively communicate with others and to assimilate and understand information in a manner that consistent with job functions.
  • Works as a team to achieve department and individual goals; supports management, unit, and team to accomplish company objectives.
  • Must be able to work, or be on call after hour as assigned.
