  • The Solutions Consultant (SC) is a seasoned professional having wide-ranging experience, uses professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways.
  • You'll be responsible for testing our software applications, including writing test plans for releases, test scripts for new projects, executing those test scripts, as well as the ability to build/execute automated testing scripts, to design and execute manual testing scripts (which the applicant will later automate), communicating with dev and project management teams to clarify intended functionality, and writing detailed bug reports.
  • Works as a liaison among stakeholders in order to elicit, analyze, communicate and validate requirements for changes to application enhancements, policies and information systems.
  • Ensures user acceptance and business results are met with minimal risk.

Additional Job Details: Required Experience:
  • A bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, plus at least several years of web-related experience.
  • Relevant Work experience can be substituted for the educational requirement.
  • Candidates should be well-versed in web technologies. PowerShell experience, plus ability to read/code SQL, AJAX, JavaScript, SOAP, HTML in order to execute testing against user interfaces, database tables, and APIs.
  • Testing Experience - Gathering business requirements and developing testing specifications for manual testing. o Building automated testing scripts in the chosen technology to phase out existing manual testing. Writing test plans and test results.
  • Work within an Agile team, understanding on how to do sprint/task timing.

Preferred Experience:
  • Regularly consults with business unit management on business system design and capability and connects the business units to the larger IT organization with minimal guidance
  • Provides creative and insightful solutions when participating in a business unit's short- and long-term planning.
  • Analyzes IT capacity, and business processes to suggest improvements, propose automation, and streamline business intelligence and decision processes.
  • Provides expertise in IT capabilities and requirements gathering. Makes process improvement recommendations to business managers.
  • Estimates scopes, timeframes, broad-ranging and company-wide projects. Gathers, analyzes, and documents requirements, and manages changes to the project scope or deliverables. Establishes test plans and test plan review standards.
  • Counsels business units on acceptance testing methodology and effectiveness. Assists in troubleshooting the most complex problems.
  • Serves as the liaison between end users and the third party software provider and/or the software development team.
  • Collaborates with developers and subject matter experts to establish technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs.
  • You have an uncanny knack for breaking things down i.e. you know how something is likely to break before you even touch it, and you've got a good idea which other pieces will break down after a one does.
