The primary role of the Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer Collaboration is to provide engineering and support for our Microsoft Exchange and Skype for Business environments. Candidates should possess the ability to work as an Architect and Engineer for Skype for Business and Exchange 2010/2016.

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
5+ years of experience in the following skill sets...
• Microsoft Skype for Business Administration and Design
o Troubleshooting / Resolution
o Experience upgrading Skype for Business versions
o Managing and establishing Federated connections
o Disaster Recovery / Redundant Environment – Setup / Configuration / Administration
• Microsoft Exchange 2010/2013 Administration (1000+ User Environment) and Design
o Troubleshooting / Resolution
o Engineering mail connectivity solutions
o Experience upgrading Exchange versions (2010, 2013, 2016)
o Setting Up Mailboxes / Mailbox Restorations
o Experience implementing transport layer security (TLS)
o Disaster Recovery / Redundant Environment – Setup / Configuration / Administration
o Scripting Languages – PowerShell
• Microsoft Active Directory
o Troubleshooting / Resolution
o Engineering integrations with third party software (i.e. SSO, ADFS, etc.)
o Architecture for medium scale environments
o Active Directory governance and role delegation
o Active Directory domain and Remote and Forest Trusts
o Microsoft Windows Server 2003/2008/R2/2012/2012R2/2016

PREFERRED
• Experience with Proofpoint Mail Gateways
• Experience with MDM Solutions

GENERAL SUMMARY
The Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer Collaboration is engaged in maintaining and controlling UBC's email infrastructure and Skype for Business messaging infrastructure. The Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer Collaboration will participate in configuration and implementation sessions as well as provide SME for all aspects of Exchange and Exchange related technologies.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• The Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer Collaboration performs routine server maintenance, configuring users, and is the first escalation point for Microsoft Office Outlook/Skype, Exchange 2010 Server issues and Skype for Business server issues.
• Demonstrated knowledge, experience and proficiency with Microsoft Windows Server 2012 and greater, Active Directory and other support services.
• Promote server and application patch management processes.
• Monitor server load and implement load balancing where appropriate.
• Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer Collaboration will be tasked with maintaining production schedules and providing maintenance of OS and Exchange during maintenance hours and coordinating those with specific customers.

The Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer Collaboration is to participate in and lead discrete portions of an enterprise scale infrastructure project from inception and ROI analyses through design, execution and transition to data center operations. Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer Collaboration will typically focus on a single project but may also be required to provide expertise to multiple projects.

QUALIFICATIONS
Demonstrated problem solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments to resolve issues. The ability to analyze and develop business scenarios and use cases Follow policies and procedures to ensure audit and corporate compliance. Creating process flows and diagrams necessary to assist the requirements gathering process. Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong facilitation, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple priorities. General PC knowledge including Microsoft Office expert level knowledge of Excel and Word as well as a working knowledge of SharePoint is required.

EDUCATION and CERTIFICATION:
Bachelor's degree in a Computer Sciences or Engineering preferred. 5+ years in a related work field may be substituted.
